Scientists have finally exceeded the speed of light, causing a light pulse to travel hundreds of times faster than normal.
It raced so fast the pulse exited a specially-prepared chamber before it even finished entering it.

The experiment is the first-ever evidence of faster-than-light motion.

The result appears to be at odds with one of the basic principles of Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, that nothing can go faster than the speed of light in a vacuum, about 186,000 miles per second.

However, Lijun Wang, one of the scientists from the NEC Research Institute in Princeton, N.J., says their findings are not at odds with Einstein.

She says their experiment only disproves the general misconception that nothing can move faster than the speed of light.

Well teleportation is waaaay in the future...
There is different on teleportation and very fast tarvel.

Teleportation is making a clone of us self another place, which is at the moment very unstable and not very evoled. Getting all the things, dreams, etc. out of your brain, translate that into data, make a clone (very fast) and put the info back in the clone's head, is a not easy produce.

While getting really fast transports is on the other hand, "easy".
We just need to find a infinity engery source, which is a question about money.
See... all those "rich men" there has the olie these day, want to make more money. Therefore is the progress drawing out. They want all the olie is used first before "going" to next stage of our evolution. And if we wait to long the world will "stop" automaticly, becuase we have no engery, due to all the olie is used... but that is offtopic.
The next question is; when?

Will the human race destroy itself, due to our greed for money?
