I am constantly thinking about how to improve the website. Just like my maps, if they go a while without a upgrade, I see them as obsolete and hate to use them. (Yes this is true for Ultimate Footmen, the reason its taking so long is just that every single object in the map needs work)

I have big plans for PoLlama.com, however most of them I am waiting until we move onto a better server, since I recently found out that 1and1, the people we buy webspace/hosting from, is nothing but a bunch of liar and scam artists, or 'overseller' webhosts.

Anyway, I'd like to know what all of your opinions are on the site. Tell me every little detail that you can think of, anything that bugs you, anything that you really like, and compare it to rival or popular sites. I'll criticize my own site to give you all an example vvvv .

For me the biggest thing at the moment is the lack of content. The entire site is basically a forum, no information. Another big thing is the poor condition of the small stuff, like smiles profiles and the help section. And the thing that truly bugs me the most is that usernames are shown to the right of the topic name, and not under it. Don't ask why it justs looks so much better if its under.

i think Pollama.com is great...compared to other forums


as for adding more like to make it other then just a forum u can add different pages that have short descriptions of each race and maybe each item seeing as in previous ultimate footmen some items had like a "history". This would just be fun to read and maybe some people could post short ultimate footmen stories sorta like fanfiction.net, but tht would kinda go in replays.

killerkunoichi is right there should be a section on the heroes and their abilities and a small history about them. Items and recipies(if added to the new map) should also have a section on their description.

Comparing this site with others its pretty equal in content and the forums are actually better than the dota site forums. The profiles page can also be better(although i cant think of a way now, i will later).

I think there should be more things on the Calendar and member events on these forums where we play like a forum game or just Chat about how life sucks. Just make it more interactive.

I think that the one really big problem is that pollama is too limited on warcraft. Even through pollama is more then just warcraft I still think that we should do something to get people who don't have warcraft to come here. Unfortunatly that's a hard thing to do because warcraft is one of the best games out there. Starcraft is losing it's edge in my mind.

IMO, a forum can't survive on one point of interest, nor can it survive on every point. Like my forum: I've had lots of guests, but only 3 members (2 are Mods, 1 is...well...me :red. I suggest that you generalize it a bit more, and throw more into the pubilc (ex. Myspace).

Hope thats helps, but I'd like to say PoLlama is a well put together forum, and even if you think it 'obsolete', I hope I speak for all of us when saying: You kick @$$.

I guess MrApples has high expectation for everything he works on. Now if only people worked that hard in school we wouldn't have to go to school at all.

i dont know if you could do this but that ad between the navbar and the recent topics really bugs me. i was wondering if you could move that down to where the other ads are? scrolling way down gets annoying after a few times and there are only so many times a man can see ADVENTURE QUEST before he wants to stab it. you know right above the top 100 sites thing.

Yah I agree. Sometimes I scroll up instead of down to get to the 15 recent topics list and sometimes i scroll down instead of up.
