New favorite Anime. Seriously.

It has a good story line. It isn't watching someone power up for 15 minutes. It isn't watching a kid tell a little thunder rat to shoot a lightning bolt and crying when the little rat is damaged.

I think light went a little insane personally later on because of his power lust he lost sight of what he was trying to do and started to care more about his self preservation then about his values, one example of this is killing who he thought was L on the tv for standing up to him, in that action he had shown he lost his real vision. Overall I liked it, mostly because of what Cookie said it is a great story and not the same boring crap over and over and over.

And lights idea was not perfect because he ignored one critical flaw in his own plan, he believed they were all guilty, but did he know it, thus he could be killing victims of circumstance.

So, Light didn't go around killing the 'might be' innocent types.

Light killed all of the true criminals who were jailed, etc, but left ones who repented out. It was ANOTHER one with a DN who was killing everyone. But I couldn't say it much better than Serenity did. He went into a total bloodlust, killing all in his way to save his own ass. He didn't think of it that way. He thought of it as the fact that he couldn't save the world if he was dead, so he thought of it as still saving the world, but it was merely saving his own skin.

Fail ending was fail. They leave you hanging too much.

They don't even say what happens to Misa, I know she commits suicide in the manga, and nothing about what happens to Light after he dies. They just say all humans go into nothingness. O_O Watching the death note rewrite movie though, you'd think he was in the Shinigami world, seeing as Ryuk says just before the credits "Isn't that right, light?"

Wrong. He didn't NEED to kill the L that appeared on TV to save his own skin. If he'd just kept quiet and not responded, he'd have been fine. But he fell into L's trap. He wanted to prove himself to be better then L, and acted like a child. Which is what L always compares Kira with. If he didn't kill the fake L, he would've been fine.

But that's the whole part of the bloodlust thing. He THOUGHT that was L, and was too hasty, trying to kill him in order to be winrar. But he was tricked. That one crucial moment was practically Light's downfall. And L's win. Except Rem decided to save Light by killzoring L.

Yes but ever since then, he made it his downfall. He wanted to bring down L, like a retard. He got too close to the investigation. Seriously, everything was going fine, but that STUPID IDIOT of his ****ed it over by writing down the bitches name, then they knew there was a fake death note.

I hate how they leave you hanging too, nothing on what happens after you die, even though it says they go to nothingness, hm. That'd be weird. You don't know what happens to misa ( she commits suicide in manga) and yeah... light should've won, really. Matsuda should've shot the others.
bad ending, season 2 ****ed over a bit, killing L was stupid and Near was so retarded, and the music changed into **** IMO. (Themesong) I heard there'll be another special animated film airing (Like the Ryuuk one where he retells the story) except it'll have an alternative ending and describe wut happens to the ohers. Of course, in the Deathnote Retold story, after finishing his story in the shinigami world, he goes "Isn't that right, Light?" O_o, so wut if light is a Shinigami? Maybe all users of Death Note go to the shinigami world and become one.

Sigh.

See, theres a problem with me. I like storylines TOO much. I become ATTACHED to the characters. When I finished Final Fantasy 10 and I finished Kingdom Hearts 2, I felt the same way. As if I'd lost something. Idono, I'm weird. Too attached to good stories and their characters, I suppose. At least giving Death Note a proper ending would've satisfied me and I'd have moved on, but I feel cheated with that **** of an ending. Anyhow, watching Code Geass, its okay, really. Not too serious like Death Note, and I don't like that. I enjoyed the seriousness of Death Note. And the passion behind it. I can understand 'wanting to avenge my nation' and all, but Light's goal was MUCH more interesting.

Of course, regarding this attachment thing. Am I just insane?! O-o Well, obsessed would be more of the word. Obsessed with stories. Hm. And its usually been stories that involve relationships, and the main thing that bugs me is that Light and Misa's relationship is never like, told bout. They just leave the Misa part hanging. Oh noes, me must be a sucker for love! =O

Well Cookie, same for me. I loved the KH games' story, even if it was a bit too Disney. And why imo FFX is one of the, if not THE, best game EVER.

And why I loved DN. I need to watch Code Geass. Still have Darker Than Black, Great Teacher Onizuka (over 40 episodes!), The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya (Haven't started it) and Ghost Hunt, and Gungrave, and Outlaw Star all to finish. ****ing hell no wonder I have 300MB of HD space left. I'm buying a 500GB one in a few days!

It's £75, which is roughly $30-40. But it's weird, cos £75 is about all I can afford, although $30-40 isn't much for Amerikans. The world's currency system is ****ed up. We all need to use one currency. And price everything the same.

Yep. That's the whole point. He spent the entire series trying to fix his mistake, but he thought L caused the battle, but if the stupid boy had simply realised L isn't stupid enough to show his real name and face to a murderer who can kill with a name and face.
