Serenity has a spectacular aura about
Some of My favorites

Mangas
Fairy Tale
Fairy Tale is about a mage guild called Fairy Tale and about the adventures of them.
Elfen lied
A very gory anime with quite a bit of nudity so if you are offended by that stuff don't bother with it. Overall I like the story of it even though it sags at times.
Hellsing
The story about a police officer sired by a vampire and her troubles adapting with the whole ordeal, as well as them hunting down vampires with the hellsing organization.

There are more I just can't remember what they are called at the moment >.> lol

Re: Some of My favorites

Heh, I'm torrenting Elfen Lied at the moment. I like lots of gore and nudity. Does it have any touches of romance/love or anything like that? Just wondering, most anime are like that, except the ones that are pure shonen, like Naruto/Bleach/One Piece etc.

And, you're talking about Mangas, yet you said Elfen Lied is a very gory anime. I'll take it you mean Fairy Tale is a manga, and the other two are anime? I've definitely heard of Hellsing before, might get around to watching it sometime.

Also, best anime ever is Death Note. I'd say a lot of people agree with me. Mr. Zero sure as hell does.

EDIT: Hell yes! 100th post!

Re: Some of My favorites

Well I did that with Elfen Lied on accident, I have seen the Anime and read the manga, and I liked the manga a lot more.
And hellsing and Elfen Lied are both manga and anime but the mangas are far better.
And the Death Note Manga is good, I never bothered with the Animes because well I just didn't care >.>

Re: Some of My favorites

Well, I normally just watch anime, cos I can hardly understand waht goes on in a manga panel, cos normally they're far too crowded.

The Elfen Lied anime actually made me just about cry. A few tears at the last episode.

Just finished Pumpkin Scissors, and Fate/Stay Night. Fate Stay Night was absolutely great, yet the ending was kinda sad and I felt a lump in my throat.

Pumpkin Scissors is also very good, and it had a very happy ending. I loved it.

Re: Some of My favorites

Anyone watched Berserk? Not the best quality video for an anime, but the storyline is great, and Gats/Guts is just the most badass human character to ever exist. Also, Full Metal Alchemist and Death Note and of course Trigun are good as well...Lots of others but I can't remember them all.

AMERICAN DRAGON JAKE LONG.

Of course, that isn't anime, is it? Nah, its animated, but that'd be like saying Tom N Jerry is anime.

Re: Some of My favorites

The actual definition of anime is a style of animation from Japan. The first half of American Dragon could be considered anime but the second half is not anime. By halves I mean seasons.

Yes they are. They are both made in Japan, using the Japanese style of anime.

Think about it. Nintendo = Pokemon.

Nintendo = Japanese

Therefore, Pokemon = Japanese.

Simple maths.

Watching Black Lagoon now.

Got to 11 so far, gonna have it done by Saturday morning.
Revy is SO awesome. I'd hate to be anywhere near her, but she's so ****ing awesome. If I went within 6m of her, I'd be ****ing shot dead. Because I'd be staring. And with the mouth wide open. Because I'd be like 'WTF YOU'RE AN ANIME CHARACTER WTF AREYOU DOING HERE HOLY HELL JESUS CHRIST DID SOME RANDOM OTAKU FIND A GENIE LAMP OR SOME ****?'

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a little more complicated. It was not made in Japan or even in Asia. It was made in the US but it uses the anime animation style. So it is considered to be an anime but people still debate about it at times.

Indeed. I thought it was aimed at a younger audience? It used to be on Nickelodeon in the UK, not sure about now though.

Just got over in the US a bit back, I didn't like the show. Too... boring for my tastes, IMO. Dono, the chars were silly D= Aang annoyed me.

And, what was the difference between season 1 and season 2 of american dragon jake long that made 2 not anime yet 1 anime, Orange?

Re: Some of My favorites

Style of animation I guess, I've never seen it, but I guess season 2 looked more gay and there were more wiggers/******s than in season 1?

Yeah. I don't like **** aimed for younger audiences too much. Maybe the subs/RAWs are good, but the dubs suck ****.

Also, completely off-topic:
I think I'm developing a slight anal fetish.

To completely ignore Ghost's last remark....

My personal favorites are Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop and I'm iffy about Paranoia Agent; however, I've got a friend who has about 12 different series of random anime not to mention the torrents and he's showing me some stuff (he actually has pretty poor taste).

After seeing Orange's post about watching anime for free, I think I'll check out Vampire Hunter D, Hellsing, .Hack, etc.

Oh and, consider this thread necro'ed.

WRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY do you keep raising threads from the dead? Good job, giving me an excuse to post some more.

Why is this forum so low on anime-loving members? I'm kinda lonely in the Anime/Manga forum.

Well if you're lonely I guess you'll never get to try out that new anal fetish. Just typing those words made me feel dirty...I'm gonna go take a shower now, clean off all this dirt.

Yeah. I wanna stick it in some girl. At least the whole anal thing was only temporarily strong, now I don't care so much. I'd much rather stick it in the place that was made for it.

Re: Some of My favorites

Yup. Let's get back on-topic.

I really love Zero no Tsukaima and The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya.

But it takes a week for each episode of the former to be released and subbed! Only up to 6 out of 13 for the third season have been released. And if they make it do some stupid hiatus thing I'll probably kill someone out of anger, and I actually feel horrible because I haven't watched any of it in about 20 hours. I love it that much. I'm never going to make it an entire week without a new episode.
